At this time of year after all the recent rain we have had it’s important to get onto those little jobs before the weeds & pests take over your garden. A little work now in preparation makes life a whole lot easier & keeps plants & lawns healthy before winter kicks in.

The first task this season is to look for those areas that always dry out & simply can’t hold water. Look for the small areas under trees, hedges, pots & planters & even those bare patches in the lawn. Once you have identified the problem areas it’s just a matter of using a good wetting agent to help the absorption of water into the soil.
Once the soil starts taking in the water you then need to improve the condition of the soil or potting mix by using a garden mix rich in organic matter or topping up pots & planter with a good quality potting mix.
