Trachelospermum jasminoides This climber is used for a screen on trellises or over pergolas and other structures. It is also grown as a spillover plant, ground cover or for topiary. Grown in fragrant gardens it will establish in 2 to 3 years. As an evergreen twining climber it has shiny dark green leaves with heavily perfumed star shaped flowers. It is best grown in hot dry shady areas and is long lived. It is an excellent glasshouse specimen in cold climates.
