Grow Fresh Mushrooms at home.....It's Easy as 1, 2,3 !

Follow these 3 easy steps & keep the kit out of direct sunlight. A wardrobe, garage of laundry is a good spot.

Step 1. Open the box. If the compost looks brown, close the kit and leave it for a week. Once the compost is frosty white continue to Step 2.

Step 2. Open the plastic and evenly spread the casing over the compost, leaving it loose and fluffy. Leave the kit open.

Step 3. Every 2-3 days mist with water. After two to three weeks mushrooms will begin to form. Twist each mushroom out, removing any remaining stump. Fill in holes with surrounding peatmoss.

Crops grow back every 10-14 days until the mushroom kit uses up all its nutrients. Approximately 3-4kg of mushrooms grow in our kit during the 3 months period of time.The kit will produce mushrooms for up to 3 months & when finished simply add to your garden as a rich source of organic fertiliser.

Portobello also known as Portabella or Portobello are a larger ‘flat’ version of the Swiss Brown. The Portabello mushroom is one of the tastiest mushrooms available.

It is a wonderful mushroom to grill or roast. The caps can grow to as small as 25mm – 75 mm, to the average size of 100mm – 175mm. Our mushroom kit grows several crops of this delicious mushroom.

The first crops are the largest, with the third and subsequent crops being smaller. Great on the BBQ or as part of a meatless burger.
